Knowing God's Word

The Importance of knowing God’s Word

1 Corinthians 14:
8
For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?

Don’t miss the importance of verse 8
Unless the soldier can identify the sound of the trumpet he is not aware of the impending danger.
  1. Knowing God’s Word Provides Protection from an unyielding Enemy. Satan has an arsenal of weapons at his disposal but maybe none greater than being able to deceive a believer who is only marginally versed in God’s Word. When you read God’s Word He is providing you with the information needed to recognize and fend off the attacks and deceptive practices of evil.
  2. Knowing God’s Word Prevents Confusion from an untruthful world. While we live in a world of changing times, social climates, and moral tolerances, we can know that Truth Never Changes. There is a generation being raised who are completely confusion in life stemming from the lack of truth. Boys can now be girls or vice versa but there is no confusion in truth. Your world today teaches that there is no absolute truth an everyone is king to an eternal paradise. This is a message overwhelmingly accepted today for its positive connotations. Sinner, there is a place called hell for those who reject the forgiveness through God’s Son, Jesus Christ. Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. That is a truth that will never change, understandable, and available to all.

1 Corinthians 1:18 - For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
